GOVERNANCE AND TRANSPARENCY

Good governance provides the foundation for a strong and sustainable school. At Moerlina, governance is a shared responsibility, with the School Council, school leadership, educators, and community working together to guide the school and protect its values. We are committed to transparent decision-making, strong policies and practices, and ongoing accountability to our students, families, and wider community.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

Moerlina’s School Council provides leadership, governance, and oversight to support the ongoing development of the school. Made up of parent, community, and teacher representatives, the Council brings diverse perspectives and experience to important decisions and helps shape the future direction of Moerlina. It provides an important link between the school, its families, and the wider community, helping ensure the school remains true to its values and focused on the needs of its students.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Moerlina is committed to transparent, child-safe, and community-centred practice. Our policies and procedures provide a clear framework for how the school operates and how we support the safety, wellbeing, and rights of our students and community. Key policies are available to families and the wider community.

STRATEGIC PLAN

The Moerlina School Strategic Plan is developed by the School Council in partnership with the school community and sets the school’s direction and priorities for each four-year cycle. It reflects a shared commitment to Moerlina’s educational philosophy, high-quality learning, and the wellbeing and safety of every student.

Strategic Plan 2024–2027

“We understand differences. We understand the personal, social and cultural identity of our children.  We know that the children are happy to be here and that they love their school – they love learning”
